This is a beautiful necklace that I based on a combination of 2 pop top tabs from aluminum beverage cans that I found while hiking in Arkansas. I wired these together and connected them by a woven strip that includes iridescent seed beads of teal/blue/green and copper curves and curls. It is eye-catching and artistically pleasing. The pendant is 2.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. This pendant makes me think of the winding trails that I hike.
This was strung on a 36" polyester fabric in variegated shades of teal that can be tied to desired length.
Creating Trail Trash jewelry and art with discarded items is one of the ways I contribute to keeping trails clean and unspoiled. When you purchase one of these items you are helping me in my personal endeavors and I thank you!
Trail Trash jewelry takes many different forms, but usually involves items I find along trails or hiking paths - back country, rural and urban. I clean/prepare these items and use them to create unusual yet beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets or other works of art.
I have made every effort to eliminate sharp edges, rough areas, and any other imperfections that could cause injury of a person or clothing. It is nearly impossible to remove every bit of these defects so please take care when handing/wearing these items.
