I created this interesting necklace using a white plastic ring that I found on an Arkansas trail. I embellished it with heavy hammered copper wire. At the bottom I hung a rustic purple clay bead that has copper colored highlights. It is artistic and earthy. The pendant is 3.75 inches long by nearly 1 inch wide. This reminds me of the partnership between man and nature.
I strung this on an adjustable 22 inch segmented copper chain.
Creating Trail Trash jewelry and art with discarded items is one of the ways I contribute to keeping trails clean and unspoiled. When you purchase one of these items you are helping me in my personal endeavors and I thank you!
Trail Trash jewelry takes many different forms, but usually involves items I find along trails or hiking paths - back country, rural and urban. I clean/prepare these items and use them to create unusual yet beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets or other works of art.
I have made every effort to eliminate sharp edges, rough areas, and any other imperfections that could cause injury of a person or clothing. It is nearly impossible to remove every bit of these defects so please take care when handing/wearing these items.
