I created this striking necklace using feathers, slate, and sterling silver wire. The feathers are white, grey, black, and one is iridescent with shades of yellow, green, and orange. I wired the feathers together and affixed them using hammered sterling silver wire to a small piece of grey slate that I had adorned with more hammered sterling silver wire in decorative shapes and a small section of woven wire. The pendant is 5.25 inches by 1.25 inches. This is unusual and organic, making me think of birds flying over a river.
I strung this on a 22 inch stainless steel ball chain that can be cut to fit.
