This is a beautiful necklace in which I combined part of an eyeglasses frame with a bottle cap. I found both items on an Arkansas hiking trail. After attaching the bottle cap to the frame I embellished both with copper wire and added glass beads in black, white, and lavender. It closes with a simple s-hook. This necklace is striking and very unusual.
I strung this pendant on a 22 inch copper chain.
Creating Trail Trash jewelry and art with discarded items is one of the ways I contribute to keeping trails clean and unspoiled. When you purchase one of these items you are helping me in my personal endeavors and I thank you!
Trail Trash jewelry takes many different forms, but usually involves items I find along trails or hiking paths - back country, rural and urban. I clean/prepare these items and use them to create unusual yet beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets or other works of art.
I have made every effort to eliminate sharp edges, rough areas, and any other imperfections that could cause injury of a person or clothing. It is nearly impossible to remove every bit of these defects so please take care when handing/wearing these items.
