This is a fun and funky necklace that I created from a discarded aluminum beverage can. The aluminum (in shades of white, grey and red) has been cut into flower and circular shapes then layered and adorned with a green aluminum wire and a flower shaped glass bead. The can was found on an Arkansas hiking trail. This necklace is cheery and playful and very lightweight.
The pendant is 1 3/8 by 2 3/8 inches and is strung on a 22 inch copper ball chain that can be cut to fit.
Creating Trail Trash jewelry and art with discarded items is one of the ways I contribute to keeping trails clean and unspoiled. When you purchase one of these items you are helping me in my personal endeavors and I thank you!
Trail Trash jewelry takes many different forms, but usually involves items I find along trails or hiking paths - back country, rural and urban. I clean/prepare these items and use them to create unusual yet beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets or other works of art.
I have made every effort to eliminate sharp edges, rough areas, and any other imperfections that could cause injury of a person or clothing. It is nearly impossible to remove every bit of these defects so please take care when handing/wearing these items.
