I created this interesting necklace using a scrap of metal to which I wired a random scrap of plastic. I then wrapped the piece with fine copper wire. I hung the pendant on the chain by very thick copper wire that I hammered. I found the objects used for this necklace on a Texas trail. This necklace is representative of 2 types of trash that litters our parks and trails.
The 22 inch ball chain can be cut to fit by the buyer. The pendant is 2.5 X 0.75 inches.
Creating Trail Trash jewelry and art with discarded items is one of the ways I contribute to keeping trails clean and unspoiled. When you purchase one of these items you are helping me in my personal endeavors and I thank you!
Trail Trash jewelry takes many different forms, but usually involves items I find along trails or hiking paths - back country, rural and urban. I clean/prepare these items and use them to create unusual yet beautiful necklaces, earrings, bracelets or other works of art.
I have made every effort to eliminate sharp edges, rough areas, and any other imperfections that could cause injury of a person or clothing. It is nearly impossible to remove every bit of these defects so please take care when handing/wearing these items.
